Programming Yealink Buttons

Add a Park Line

Park lines are useful for retail or restaurant locations who want an easy way to place callers in park (hold) on one phone and have it flash on a button on all phones with park lines.

To add a park line:

  1. Press and hold any line key on your Yealink phone.
  2. Press the right arrow once and select Type "BLF"
  3. Press the down arrow to Label and type in what you want to show on the screen, for example "Park 1"
  4. Press the down arrow to Value and type in *31 (for Park 1), *32 (for Park 2) or *33 (for Park 3)
  5. Click SAVE
Do NOT select line or key type "Park".  You must user BLF as the type. "Busy Lamp Field" is the service that monitors the status of this parking spot to indicate if it's occupied.  Park and Retrieve are both accessed by dialing *3 plus the parking spot number. Parking spot 1 is *31, spot 2 is *32, spot 500 is *3500.  Add the same parking spot BLF line keys to all phones so you can enable flashing lights.

Add a Speed Dial /w Presence Monitor

Use BLF for internal extensions in order to monitor them. Use Speed Dial for all other numbers.

If you would like to add a speed dial to another extension and enable presence monitoring so that you know whether or not the other person is on the line, please complete the steps below.

  1. Press and hold any line key on your Yealink phone.
  2. Press the right arrow to select the Type and select BLF
  3. Press the down arrow until you get to the Label option and type in what you want to appear on the screen
  4. Press the down arrow until you get to the Value option and type the user's extension to be dialed. For example, enter 11001 to dial an extension.
  5. Click the SAVE soft key on the bottom of the screen
Tip: If you don't know the user's extension, press the Directory key after selecting the Value field. Then click Remote Phone Book option. Search for and find an existing GoTo Extension. You can shorten the Lable field or rename if you would like.

Do not reassign the top left line key as this will revert overnight. A factory reset will erase any customized buttons you have enabled unless you specify those placeholders as "Custom" inside GoTo admin console.
